How do you start your day?
Do you start off believing that nothing will work out, that everything in the world is horrible and nothing good stands a chance of happening? Well if you believe that then that is what will happen.
See, no matter what happens throughout today, no matter how bright the sun is shining, you will only see through your shades of grey because that is what you want to see. No matter the numerous opportunities that lie before you, you will miss them all because you only see them after you have passed them all by. Then you will complain about how nothing ever works out in your favor. How everyone is terrible, never living up to a standard that you have set when the problem that exists is you. It is a tough realization to deal with, that perhaps you are the problem, not the world around you. It is not the people, it the person looking at the people. The person sees everyone and everything in poor lighting. The person is walking around with a vision that has been impaired by their past.
As we go through life we experience many things and too often these things affect our perspective of how we see the world around us. If we are not influenced by the right people along the way, or through our experiences, we are left with coldness, bitterness, resentment, fear, and rejection all which begins to dim the light in which we see the world around us. Imagine walking around looking down at the ground your whole life. Or yet, walking around in a dark room looking for a way out with your eyes closed. Either way, you will never find what you are looking for because your eyes are not open to the possibilities before you. You are either in a position where you are afraid or unwilling to look up to see the light or open your eyes to see there is a way out. Instead, you will stay in the position you are in complaining and believing your truth and that this is life.
You will spend your time convincing everyone around you that this is life, while others are walking around enjoying life and experiencing the many opportunities that lie before them daily. You are stuck in your own truth about what you believe. Unfortunately, the truth is you are walking in darkness while others are walking in the light.
The world is not evil. The world is not dark. Your world is dark. Your world is evil because you are living in your own hell, while the rest of us are walking and living in the light with God.
With my eyes open, not walking in the resentment of those who have hurt me in my past, I can walk in the light with God.
With my eyes open, not walking in fear of trusting people, I trust God.
With my eyes open, not living in the rejection of people, I know that God loves me, will never leave nor forsake.
At some point, I must learn to realize that it is not people that I put my trust in, the One who created all. As I put my trust in Him, I will come to realize that I do not have to walk in fear, but I can have faith that all will work out for my good even when people fail me, leave me, turn their back on me, it is all for my good. These are not moments for me to close my eyes and grow bitter, cold, and resentful. These are moments for me to understand My Father has protected me from things I may never understand. My Father has taught me a lesson that I will, in due time, come to understand. My Father, has given me exactly what I needed at that moment and now it is time to move on, and this I must understand.
In all things, I must trust and have faith in him for he knows me better than I know myself. He knew what I needed before I realized I needed it. He already made the provision before I knew I had the need. I just need to believe…Believe that He is who He says he is…The I Am that I Am.
It is time to open your eyes, see the light, trust and believe!
Here’s a little inspiration for you, today.
