God hears and answers the prayers of the righteous!
How many times have you asked someone to pray for you or stood in the gap praying for others? While doing so, what were those who sought prayer doing? Were they, too, seeking and believing God?
Too often we expect others to carry the weight of prayer on our behalf. We expect them to labor before the Lord for what we want, need, and desire, yet, we remain as bystanders along the side of the road. We desire others to work while we think it is ok, to ride their backs to our victory.
Well, you cannot ride the backs of believers forever. At some point, you will need to dismount and stand before the Lord yourself to seek and believe Him for what you need and desire.
We must learn to trust in the Lord (ourselves), believing in His word. While it is great to stand on the shoulders of giants, we must remember that the assistance they give is to help you SEE for yourself what lies ahead. Their lift and support should help provide you with clarity. Their shoulders should not become permanent fixtures for your feet.
Position your self properly before the Lord, planted on His Word, and trusting and believing in Him.
Praise Him for love and mercy endures forever!
