Greater gets greater…
The greater the expectation, the greater the reward
If you set your sight, your mind, your faith on small expectations, then that shall be what you receive. That will be the outcome.
We are to speak those things as if they were. Meaning to speak a thing into existence. Therefore, whatever you believe, you shall have. If your faith is small if you do not believe that God can do the impossible, the incredible, the unimaginable, that you shall not see it.
Those things can happen right before your very eyes, yet because you lack the faith to see it, you will remain blind to what exists.
We must keep in mind that the only thing keeping us from obtaining the promises of God, is our lack of faith. Our inability to expect greater, therefore the inability to see and receive greater.
In the flesh, we have created a system of time and existence that does not work according to the time and existence of God. We set limits, parameters, barriers, and guidelines that God does not work within.
Trust and believe that when he has placed something in your heart, He has set provisions for those things to flourish and well beyond what your mind may comprehend at the moment. The key is trusting and believing in Him to get you from the starting line to the finish line.
Remember, God, told Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse: and in you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:1-3) When Abram heard this, he went as the Lord instructed. He had no idea where he was going, but he trusted the Lord and His plans for him. He had no idea how God would do what he promised yet, he gathered his things, which apparently started with his faith, then headed forward. God blessed Abram (Abraham) and his barren wife Sara, with a son, which was considered the impossible, even to them. Their story continued well beyond what their mind would have ever comprehended, including the birth, death, and resurrection and continued testament of the life and power of Christ.
I get it. We can all struggle in our faith, but we must come to realize that even if we start small, we cannot stay there forever. If at first, you step out on a little faith, then you should continually increase or elevate your level of faith. How can you stay stuck in a place of small and mediocre when God has proven to you time and time again that He is there, listening, protecting, loving you, and providing for you? How can you believe God to be a great and mighty God yet expect him to move in only minute ways?
I don’t know about you, but my faith believes in the unfathomable. When everyone around me believes it cannot or will not get done because of time, money, bureaucracy, or whatever barriers we think of, I know and believe that God will create a way. He will open doors that no created being can shut. Through His infinite wisdom, He shall show me the way to go, provide continued direction and resources to obtain what He has promised.
Stand today…take a major LEAP (no more steps) of FAITH! Increase your level of expectation.
You want greater, expect greater
Put on your running shoes of faith…it is full speed ahead to the great things God had in store
