Get Unstuck From Fear

It is time to get unstuck from fear.

Stop playing Russian Roulette with your life and chose to live or die.

Time to make finite decisions in life rather than being schizophrenic with our decisions.

Too often we journey through life, afraid to make decisions.

We know what we want, but rather than making a choice we run to friends, family, and anyone else we can find.

We lay our problems in their hands, hoping they will give us an answer. Hoping they will tell us what to do.

We perversely use the Word of God saying we should seek the counsel of many.

Unfortunately, this does not apply to those who never make decisions and consistently run to multiple people to make decisions for them.

This does not apply when you must listen to multiple people tell you the same thing over and over again, and the problem is that you are afraid to make a decision on your own. Or take responsibility for your decisions and their outcome.

The scriptures should encourage, guide, empower and not be used as a crutch to license bad habits.

Sadly, we treat God the same way.

Rather than asking specifically for what we want or need in life, we play “roulette” with God.

We take our “chips” lay and them out on the table.

We spread them across multiple options.

Then we try to give God the “ball” and say, “spin,” “ok, God, you pick.”

We cross our fingers, hoping and praying we get “something” we asked for.

Basically, we are punking out and expecting God to choose for us because we are too afraid to make a decision.

That is a far cry from faith.

God does not want schizophrenic prayers.

Stop being afraid to seek God and ask for what you need and want.

First of all, He already knows.

You really, just need to come into agreement with Him and believe that He will provide for you.

In thirty days, my wonderful son, and only child will graduate from college.

He will graduate with a major in Veterinary Science and minor in Computer and Electrical Engineering.

Yes, and unusual degree combination to some but to me, it is not.

I have spent many, many hours, seeking God about his future.

He will go on to Veterinary School and pursue a lifelong dream, just as God has promised.

Many have or had asked, what is his “plan B.” if he does not get into Vet School.

Well, there is no plan B, there is only Plan GOD.

If this is what I have sought God about and this is what He has promised, then that is what I continue to stand firm and believe.

Everyone else can waver in faith, but not I.

I have no time to get stuck in fear and deal with “what ifs.”

I am too busy positioning myself and my family for the way ahead, everyone else can get off the train.

I am too busy moving with confidence and expectation as God is continuing to move and confirm his promises.

It is time to stop putting so much confidence in man and start putting our trust and confidence in God.

If he says he will do something, trust and believe, he will do it.

The process, may not look as we desire it too, but He always comes through.

Meanwhile, as we go through the process stop seeking unwise counsel.

Stop allowing unwise counsel to pull the trigger on your life when many of them cannot pull the trigger in their own.

Many of the same people we constantly run to, allowing them to play Russian Roulette with our lives, are playing Russian roulette with their own.

They, like you, are running around aimlessly hoping someone will give them what they need to hit the target.

They like you are afraid to make any finite decision on their own.

So, while you are convincing yourself you are seeking counsel according to the scripture, you are actually doing what Proverbs says not to do, sit amongst fools.

We are to seek godly counsel.

That is the key we seem to miss every time.

Once you seek godly counsel, get unstuck.

Load your weapon, stand firm and take aim at life.

Yes, you may get a little kick back at times.

But when you move forward, you can do so with confidence.

Knowing you hit the target every time.
