God has Blessed me to start DeeCilla Comfort Center, a nonprofit to help those victimized by sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking.
We have been building our volunteer community and still seeking out additional community partners to help us serve “our neighbors” and place them on a road to recovery.
I recently traveled with my brilliant son to both Purdue and Tuft’s Veterinary School for interviews. These are schools he has dreamed of attending since he was about 11 years of age. He has also been accepted to Oregon State University Veterinary School, which means that come August, he will be on track to become the FIRST medical doctor in our family.
37 days in and 328 more still to go…I cannot wait to see what God will continue to do. I am expecting great things. Why? Because I would expect nothing less from a Great God. It is just that simple.
Yes, I have been busy but will continue to be with additional projects He has placed in my heart. Projects such as two books, I am concurrently writing, and the first center for DeeCilla Comfort Center called the Michael and Sylvia House of Hope. The Michael and Sylvia House of Hope will house single young women ages 18-28, wounded by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. This house is designed to Restore Hope to the hurting by providing shelter, crisis intervention, and spiritual, behavioral, physical programs to assist them on their healing journey, along with other personal development programs to help them thrive as they return to living in the community but with healthier relationships.
God is AMAZING! I continue to look forward to the future because I know He is with me and I trust in His plans for me and my household.
What have you been up to, lately…
I would love to hear how God has been great to you and what you are trusting Him with.
